Christian Church of God is a Pentecostal Church. The church has a humble beginning; the establishment of the church was divine and inspired by the Holy Spirit.
The bedrock of this church has been the overwhelming presence of God the father, the son and the holy ghost.

To make Jesus Christ known to the community and the world.
To raise the banner of Jesus’ glory through praising, worshipping and preaching of the word of God in the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
To reach the non Christians, bringing the good news to the poor, healing the broken hearted, proclaiming liberty to the captive, setting the bond free and comforting those who mourn.

The Church Believes in:
The Godhead, the father, the son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. These three are distinguished by indivisible in essence, co-eternal, co existent, co equal, attitudes, nature, power and glory. (2 Corinthians 13:14 KJV)
The Bible is the inspired word of God and a revelation from God to mankind.
The salvation of man.
Mankind’s only hope of redemption and salvation from the power of sin is through the shed blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our History
In 1997 Bishop Michael Obasuyi and Revd Pat Obasuyi started a home bible studies and prayer meeting which later became the present Christian Church of God Pentecostal (CCOGP) in the year 2000. We have been privileged to have our children as workers in various departments of the church since its inception. Since the establishment of the church in the year 2000, signs, wonders and miracles have never seized being recorded.
Many non – believers have continually been born again, accepted Christ as their Lord and personal saviour. Miracles, signs, deliverance abound in the church as a regular occurrence.
The church is particularly known for signs and wonders following.
Our Ministers
In 1997 Bishop Michael and his wife Revd Pat both, with their passion for Christ started a regular home bible studies and prayer meetings, which became the present Christian Church of God Pentecostal (CCOGP). The church has been an integral part of the local community, reaching out to the homeless-the 999 club, the elderly, the poor and hungry-the food bank. Also, for Evangelistic and Humanitarian work- with an objective to save lives, alleviate sufferings and maintain human dignity. Their charitable works includes their spiritual and financial support for the widows and orphanage homes in Jerusalem, a place they frequently visit annually
Leadership, Ministry, and Service
In 1999, Bishop Michael and Revd Pat were ordained as pastors and graduated from the International Bible Institute of London (IBIOL). Since then, they have travelled to many parts of the world on missionary and evangelistic assignments, faithfully preaching the good news of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Founding and Educational Ministry
In the year 2000, Bishop Michael and Revd Pat co-founded the Christian Church of God Pentecostal. Their commitment to biblical education led to the establishment of the Christian Church of God Pentecostal Bible College in 2010, where they both serve as volunteer teachers, offering biblical guidance, mentorship, and pastoral care.
Professional Experience and Family Involvement
Bishop Michael has several years of experience working in local government in London, holds an Honorary Doctorate in Theological Studies, and has undertaken various biblical training programmes. Revd Pat has over 40 years of experience in local government, holds a Master’s degree in Theology from Winchester University, and is a trained counsellor. Together, they have also served as chaplains at Bexley Hospice. They are blessed with children who have faithfully worked in various departments of the church since its inception.
Bishop Michael and Revd Pat are people of great faith, who lives and walks by faith for ”without faith, it is impossible to please God” (Hebrews 11:6).
